나의 작업에서 바디페인팅은 신체라는 껍데기 속에 숨겨진 무형의 감정을 가시화 하기 위한 수단이다.
물리적으로는 몸을 물감으로 가리는 것이지만, 상징적으로는 몸 속의
감정이 배어 나오는 것이 된다.
‘Imprint’에서는 이렇게 드러난 내면의 감정을 가장 보편적이고
형식적인 미술 작품의 바탕인 캔버스에 찍어낸다.
Imprint는 각인이란 뜻으로, 캔버스에 찍어내어 기록하는 이 행위를 말한다.
영상은 바디페인팅 과정인 1부, 이를
캔버스에 imprint하는 2부로 나누어진다.
In my work, body painting is a means of
visualizing the intangible emotions hidden in the shell of the body.
Physically, the body is covered with paint, but symbolically, the emotions in
the body are oozing out.
In 'Imprint', this emotional expression is imprinted
in the canvas which is the basis of the most common and formal works of art.
'Imprint' becomes a proper noun to call this act of recording on the canvas.
The video is divided into two parts, a body
painting process and a canvas imprinting.
